i dont know if its valid, i dont know if its identity-policing. all i can tell you is that it’s painful to be rejected by someone you like for any reason but that intensifies and exists on a whole other level when someone cannot possibly get with you sexually because of something you cannot control, because of something that you are ashamed of - they’re basically (subconsciously or not) telling you that you are not a man to them - that they see vaginas as belonging to women and reducing you to that. nothing else matters about who you are - you have a vagina, or had a vagina, or were assigned female at birth; that uncontrollable fraction of you is entirely who you are to them. it’s crushing.

i speak only for myself on this, not for other trans men, not for trans men as a whole.
